The Opportunity

We are currently seeking three (3) Permanent Part-Time Rostering Officers to join our newly established centralised Rostering & Workforce Planning Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to achieve a work-life balance while serving as a Rostering Officer on a part-time basis.

The Role

The Rostering Officer will create and manage the main schedule to meet business needs, ensuring staff are assigned to complete work on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include managing staff rosters, addressing employee leave requests, and reviewing and authorising timesheets daily.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the creation and administration of staff rosters, ensuring compliance with relevant agreements and timely shift distribution.
  • Address employee leave requests, promptly fill vacant shifts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Serve as the primary contact for rostering inquiries and update the roster database with worker availability and preferences.
  • Review and authorise timesheets daily, while continuously seeking opportunities to improve rostering processes for efficiency.
  • Build supportive relationships with staff and leadership to enhance coordination in rostering processes.
Flexible Work Choices

Permanent part-time positions are available as outlined below. Additionally, there will be opportunities to take on extra casual shifts to cover planned and unplanned leave.

Shift Patterns:
  • Shift Pattern 1 – 30 hours per week (60 hours p/fortnight)
  • Shift Pattern 2 – 30 hours per week (60 hours p/fortnight)
  • Shift Pattern 3 – 15 hours per week (30 hours p/fortnight)
About You

We are seeking experienced individuals who possess a strong understanding of the end-to-end rostering process, including employee contractual and industrial requirements. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with staff and leadership.
