Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Construction Apprentice. As an apprentice with East Coast Apprenticeships, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, from new home builds and renovations to refurbishments and commercial projects.

About the Role

This is an entry-level position that requires no prior experience in the construction industry. As a Construction Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting qualified tradespeople with various tasks, including constructing wall and ceiling frames, laying sub-flooring and floorboards, nailing fascia panels, fitting exterior wall cladding, doors, and windows, measuring materials, and carrying out calculations using a variety of hand and power tools.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:
• An interest and commitment to working in the construction industry
• A White Card or the ability to obtain one ASAP
• A current Driver's Licence and access to reliable transportation
• Certificate I or II in Construction is advantageous
• Work experience within the construction industry is highly desirable
• Physical fitness, self-discipline, and high attention to detail
• Reliability, resilience, motivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to take direction and prioritize safety
• Ideally, have your own basic tools, including a nail bag

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, based on the title, job description, and location. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
