Rail Operations Specialist

About this Rail Operations Role:

As a trainee, you will be part of a structured program where you gain practical experience while completing a nationally recognized qualification.

  • Control the movement of trains and carry out instructions always maintaining safety
  • Inspect for faults, repair, service and maintain rolling stock
  • Support maintenance of locomotives, ancillary vehicles, machines and equipment
  • Conduct brake testing of trains
  • Effectively communicate with other personnel as well as clients and operational staff including face to face and via radio
  • Undertake shunting and marshalling of trains

About You:

  • National C Class Driver's Licence (mandatory)
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • A willingness to work day & night shifts (up to 12 hours) and include weekend work as required
