Operational Rail Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Operational Rail Technician. As a key member of our rail operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains across our network.

Your primary responsibilities will include controlling the movement of trains, inspecting for faults, repairing and maintaining rolling stock, and supporting the maintenance of locomotives and other equipment. You will also be required to conduct brake testing of trains and effectively communicate with depot personnel and other stakeholders.

  • Control the movement of trains and maintain safety at all times.
  • Inspect for faults, repair and service rolling stock.
  • Support maintenance of locomotives, ancillary vehicles, machines, and equipment.
  • Conduct brake testing of trains.
  • Communicate effectively with depot personnel and other stakeholders.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to safety, mechanical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You must also be willing to work day and night shifts, including weekends, as required.

  • C Class Drivers Licence (mandatory).
