Trainee Rail Operator Job Opportunity

Aurizon is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Rail Operator. This exciting opportunity will see you gain valuable hands-on experience in the rail industry while completing a nationally recognized qualification.

About the Role
  • Control trains and follow safety procedures
  • Inspect and maintain rolling stock
  • Support maintenance of locomotives, vehicles, and equipment
  • Conduct brake testing of trains
  • Communicate with depot personnel, clients, and operational staff
  • Undertake shunting and marshalling of trains

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You must also be willing to work day and night shifts, including weekends.

Requirements
  • Hold a C Class Driver's License
  • Have a Shunt Qualification
  • Be committed to safety
  • Have mechanical aptitude
  • possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
