Rail Operations Trainees join our team to gain hands-on experience in rail operations and complete a nationally recognized qualification. You'll work alongside experienced staff in a fast-paced environment, developing skills to build a long-term career.

">About the Role
  • Control train movement and follow instructions, maintaining safety at all times.
  • Inspect rollingstock for faults, repair, service, and maintain as needed.
  • Support maintenance of locomotives, vehicles, machines, and equipment.
  • Conduct brake testing of trains.
  • Communicate effectively with depot personnel, clients, and operational staff.
  • Undertake shunting and marshalling of trains.
Requirements
  • C Class Drivers Licence (mandatory)
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • A willingness to work day and night shifts, including weekends as required
