We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team as an Operational Maintainer Trainee. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in rail operations and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control the movement of trains and carry out instructions while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Inspect, repair, service and maintain rolling stock.
- Support maintenance of locomotives, ancillary vehicles, machines and equipment.
- Conduct brake testing of trains.
- Effectively communicate with depot personnel, clients and operational staff.
- Undertake shunting and marshalling of trains.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- C Class Drivers Licence.
- Shunt qualification.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- A willingness to work day and night shifts, including weekends.
