About the Role

The Senior Legal Administrator will provide strategic leadership and direction to the Legal Administrative Support Group, ensuring the effective use of resources and adherence to established client service standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operations of the Legal Administrative Support Group to optimize resource allocation and meet service demands.
  • Developing and implementing quality legal administration service delivery, facilitating teamwork, and ensuring accountability for the group's performance.
  • Liaising with Managing Lawyers to set agreed outcomes on service quality and ensuring regular monitoring and evaluation.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Preparing briefing notes on profit and loss approvals, understanding the Community Service Obligation Policy, and liaising with other business units as required.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external to the Public Trust Office.
  • Providing comprehensive legal executive administrative and secretarial support to the Official Solicitor, including diary management, correspondence, and report preparation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team of approximately 10.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with Managing Lawyers and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in diary management and correspondence preparation.
  • A strong understanding of the Community Service Obligation Policy and its application in the Public Trust Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
