Job Opportunity

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Care Worker to join our team supporting children and young people in residential care homes in Western Australia.

  • This is a live-in position with a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, offering a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 care, support, and supervision to up to 4 children, ensuring their personal and development needs are met in a home environment.
  • Utilize Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) principles to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, while also providing direction and guidance to additional support staff.
  • Assist with household duties, including meal planning, cooking, cleaning, and washing.
Requirements:
  • Significant residential and therapeutic experience working with children and young people with complex behaviors and trauma backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of CARE and TCI principles, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed cultural competency and understanding of supporting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
  • Positive, resilient, and dedicated individual with a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Relevant degree or diploma qualification, along with a current First Aid Certificate and unrestricted Drivers Licence.
