Early Childhood Educator Role

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality care and education to children in our centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Program Development: Create and implement engaging programs that cater to the diverse needs of children in your care.
  2. Leadership Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to other educators within the centre, promoting a culture of collaboration and growth.
  3. Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues through effective communication and empathy.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's development and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Safety and Wellbeing: Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children in your care, implementing strategies to prevent accidents and promote a healthy environment.
  6. Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying abreast of best practices in early childhood education.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualification: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in an early childhood setting, preferably in a leadership or educator role.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of child development theories, learning principles, and behaviour management techniques.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing leadership and support to others when needed.
  • Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality care and education to children, with a focus on meeting their individual needs and fostering a love of learning.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis.
