House Manager Job Opportunity

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential houses. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring a team of support workers, working closely with external stakeholders, and ensuring the home is a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children and young people in residential care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build professional relationships with children and young people through active engagement and visible interest.
  • Ensure the home is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing, and appropriately engaging and stimulating for our clients.
  • Manage and support a team of residential workers, providing reflective supervision and team meetings.
  • Coordinate the intake and transition of new children and young people into the home and the exit of children and young people to permanent homes or step-down services.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar qualification.
  • Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage crises and critical issues.
  • Current Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain if successful).
