Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Advisor

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert advice on health, safety and environmental matters to support the successful delivery of projects.

  • To develop, implement and maintain effective health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and systems.
  • To conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • To lead and coordinate risk assessments and safety planning for new and ongoing projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • To deliver high-quality health, safety and environmental training programs to employees, contractors and site visitors.
  • To investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • To prepare and present regular health, safety and environmental performance reports to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and progress towards targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing effective health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
