**Join Our Team as a Health and Safety Advisor - 12-Month Fixed Term**

We're excited to offer a 12-month full-time opportunity for a passionate and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. This role has become available due to an internal secondment, as one of our valued Advisors steps into a maternity leave cover and pursues further professional development.

In this dynamic and impactful role, you'll support multiple sites across Melbourne's southeastern suburbs, playing a key part in strengthening our safety culture and driving continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position, with one day per week working from home, one day based at our Scoresby office, and the remainder at our Dandenong site.

**About the Role**

As part of your role as Health & Safety Advisor you will:

- Support the implementation of the Monash Health Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
- Enhance organizational capability by preventing and managing workplace injuries, promoting staff well-being, ensuring legislative compliance, and optimizing productivity and quality care within a safe work environment.
- Provide health and safety coaching, advisory services, and collaborative support to stakeholders, fostering risk management skills and promoting a positive safety culture.
- Empower managers to implement effective and sustainable health and safety practices within their areas of responsibility and accountability.
- Advocate for and facilitate the integration of Monash Health's Injury Support program.
- Minimize the human and financial impact of workplace injuries while improving employee health and well-being.
- Travel between various Monash Health sites as required.

You are a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) professional with proven industry experience. With a strong passion for workplace safety, you excel in communicating effectively and influencing positive change. You lead by example, thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments, and are committed to delivering the highest standards of safety and well-being across the organization.

To succeed in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge:

- Proven experience in an OHS role with a strong foundation in workplace health and safety practices.
- Proven internal consulting experience that has enhanced line managers' knowledge, skills, and confidence in implementing organizational safety improvements.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with leaders and employees at both strategic and operational levels, with a track record of negotiating successful outcomes.
- Excellent project management skills, including the capacity to oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High-level conceptual and analytical skills, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making expertise, supported by well-developed reporting capabilities.
- Experience leading and managing change initiatives across multiple sites and disciplines.
- Proficiency in digital tools and well-developed computer literacy.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a related field.
- Incident Investigation training (preferred).
