About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Governance Manager to join our team at Open. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business activities align with our obligations and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a monitoring program to oversee adherence to underwriting mandates, product design and distribution obligations, pricing promises, and general disclosures.
  • Scope, design, and implement exception reports to monitor alignment with underwriting guidelines, target market determinations, product design and distribution obligations, pricing promises, and contractual obligations.
  • Perform testing to assess ongoing compliance with relevant underwriting guidelines and other requirements, including pre and post-implementation testing, change management testing, and routine testing.
  • Research, investigate, and document incidents and breaches to identify root causes and inform remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with Insurance Legal and Compliance to ensure Open's fulfillment of regulatory obligations.
  • Build effective relationships across the business to gather relevant context, explanations, and information to perform analysis and solve problems.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of risk, risk frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and controls.
  • Experience in risk and compliance, preferably in the general insurance industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, natural curiosity, and analytical mindset.
