Role Overview

The role of the Food Service Officer (Relief) is to provide high-quality food preparation and service to patients, visitors, and staff.

This includes maintaining high standards of food preparation, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in accordance with relevant codes of practice.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment is crucial for this role.
  • Developing safety systems and training to prevent accidents and maintain quality control.
  • Cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by supervisors and guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in food preparation, production, cook-chill procedures, and working in large organisations.
  • Knowledge of food handling and hygiene regulations, maintaining hygienic work areas and equipment, and high personal hygiene standards.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to understand instructions and work effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
