Maintenance Planning Manager

Cement Australia is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planning Manager to lead the maintenance planning team responsible for the maintenance of plant and ancillaries, service contracts, and management of site major contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a Positive Safety Culture: Actively support site safety initiatives, standards, and procedures, ensuring full compliance in day-to-day operations and shutdown situations.
- Effective Maintenance Planning: Ensure maintenance plans are effectively managed to deliver environmental compliance and safety requirements.
- Internal Auditing and Close-out Actions: Ensure own and delegates' internal auditing and close-out actions are delivered on time.
- Team Development and Succession Planning: Develop a technically competent, motivated, functional, and cohesive Maintenance Planning team.
- System Maintenance and Process Improvement: Ensure systems, processes, and plans are in place to effectively manage kiln and cement milling shortstops.
- SAP Maintenance Management: Ensure the SAP maintenance management system is maintained for all planned maintenance activities to reflect the schedule and resource requirements within the overall integrated maintenance plan.
- Cost Control and Optimization: Identify opportunities for optimizing plant and planning processes, continuous improvement, and maximizing value of maintenance spend.
- Financial Management and Reporting: Actively support development and delivery of maintenance budget, ensuring cost control methods are in place for shutdown delivery.
- Work Packaging and Inventory Management: Utilize the planning process to deliver cost-effective work packaging and a sustainable long-term inventory reduction.
- Plan Attainment and KPIs: Ensure plan attainment and other planning KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Work Delivery and Resource Management: Ensure work delivery continually balances safety/cost/time/resources for successful outcomes.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Monitor and track vendor/contractor performance during the execution of planned works and provide feedback to the Contract Owner.
- Statutory Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all statutory requirements for maintenance of pressure vessels, fire protection systems, cranes, etc. are maintained.
- Strong Leadership and Team Building Skills
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills, particularly Microsoft Project
- Full Understanding of SAP Maintenance Systems and Processes
- Advanced Knowledge of Budget Setting, Tracking, and Forecasting
- Proven Heavy Industrial Maintenance and Planning Experience in a Leadership Role
- Experience in Managing a Functional Team
