Job Opportunity: Graduate System Professional

We are seeking an exceptional Graduate System Professional to join our Infrastructure team in Sydney/Melbourne, reporting to the Engineering Manager - Tools & Capabilities. This role involves assisting with the management and automation of our computing infrastructure, systems development, integration, and support.

You will work alongside experts in their field, applying your university learnings into practice. As a graduate at Symbio, you will have access to people who can help you develop your skills and knowledge.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver and maintain infrastructure for various business segments.
  • Enhance our core systems infrastructure using automation and orchestration tools.
  • Advocate infrastructure automation and ensure repeatable deployments across development and production environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement, proof of concepts, and explore new technologies, tools, and methods.
  • Collaborate with Software and Network teams in deploying and supporting systems and services to achieve engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within designated business segments.
  • Work in an Agile environment, helping improve these practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A recently completed university degree or qualification in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering-related degrees, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • High-performing, demonstrated by a credit average grade.
  • Previous work experience or internship is an advantage.
  • Exposure in Linux (Redhat/Centos) and/or Windows systems administration/deployment.
  • Scripting experience using Bash, Python is an advantage.
  • Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
