About the Opportunity

Join KBR's Infrastructure Solutions Australia team as a Senior Utility Engineer, playing a pivotal role in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients across transport, water, and defence projects.

Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity involves providing utility engineering services to Transport, Defence, and Water Infrastructure Markets. You will be responsible for study, design, specification, and services of utilities infrastructure, specifically in transport and water areas. Your expertise will help devise new approaches to problems encountered, planning, scheduling, and conducting work that requires judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

As a key member of our Civil Team, you will perform work involving conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement utility designs and approvals throughout the design and construction process.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Analyse and evaluate project data to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in design and/or practical experience in the coordination and delivery of utility designs and approvals.
  • Strong technical design ability specifically in the Utilities environment.
  • Working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships within the Utilities design and construction process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety.
  • Chartered Status is preferred.
