Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our Global Infrastructure team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining high-availability network systems. This role reports directly to the Core Networks Engineering Manager and collaborates with peers in the Data Networks Team and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing high-availability network systems.
  • Ensuring system uptime and minimal impact on business operations.
  • Maintenance, upgrades, and new implementations with minimal disruption.
  • Contribution to identifying and resolving technical disputes/impediments.
  • Responsible for the operation of our networks, including delivery of all network services.
  • Configuration, operations, capacity, and integration of all network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field.
  • Knowledge in Network Automation and DevOps (Ansible and CI/CD pipelines).
  • Understanding of BGP protocol and layer 3 IP routing.
  • Familiarity with Layer 2 and 3 switching, spanning tree protocol.
  • Demonstrated understanding of information processing principles and practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

Salary
