Job Title: Fleet Operations Manager

As a seasoned fleet professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicle fleet. This underpins the critical delivery of pathology services across Sydney, regional and rural NSW.

You will oversee all aspects of fleet management, from acquisition and utilisation through to maintenance, replacement planning and compliance.

With a focus on safety, sustainability and operational continuity, this role offers the opportunity to lead improvements in fleet policy and practice while supporting the vital transport of pathology specimens that communities depend on every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of fleet management, including procurement, contract management and vehicle administration
  • Collaboration with logistics, finance, regional directors and external providers to deliver cost-effective and compliant outcomes
  • Leadership of improvements in fleet policy and practice, with a focus on safety, sustainability and operational continuity
  • Supporting the vital transport of pathology specimens across NSW

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or a combination of qualifications and substantial experience in fleet management and operations
  • Strong experience in fleet operations and management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, disposal, and overall portfolio oversight
  • Proficient in corporate financial and administrative systems, with hands-on experience using fleet management and telematics platforms
  • Strong knowledge of the motor vehicle, fleet, and freight transport industries
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and briefings
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong numeracy and financial acumen, including experience in budgeting and forecasting
