Job Title: Fleet Management Leader

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of vehicle fleets, which underpin the critical delivery of pathology services across Sydney, regional and rural NSW.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of fleet management, from acquisition and utilisation through to maintenance, replacement planning and compliance.
  • Work closely with logistics, finance, regional directors and external providers to deliver cost-effective and compliant outcomes.
  • Develop and administer fleet policies in support of operational continuity, sustainability and optimising total operating cost outcomes.
  • Ensure ongoing alignment of fleet policies to related NSW Government, Health, Statutory and Industry best practice.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or a combination of qualifications and substantial experience in fleet management and operations, demonstrating a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of the role.
  • Strong experience in fleet operations and management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, disposal, and overall portfolio oversight.
  • Proficient in corporate financial and administrative systems, with hands-on experience using fleet management platforms to support operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of the motor vehicle and freight transport industries, with proven ability to engage effectively with suppliers, dealers, manufacturers, government bodies, contractors, and service providers.
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and insightful reports, option analyses, presentations, and briefings tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strong track record in influencing, negotiating, and building productive networks across internal and external partners.
