About The Role

The purpose of this role is to support senior management and the Board with adequate oversight of the maturity of our compliance management function, programs, and policies, and the effectiveness of our compliance risk and control environment.

This role is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Compliance Reporting & Governance in relation to compliance governance and reporting activities:

  • Providing professional advice for compliance governance related matters for the broader Compliance teams
  • Coordinating compliance papers associated with quarterly Board Risk Management Committee, Risk Management Committees, and sub-risk management committees
  • Assisting with regular and ad hoc reporting requirements for the Executive Team and Head Office
  • Maintaining and continuously improving reporting and governance processes
  • Coordinating management commitments to ensure that commitments and actions are delivered within agreed timelines
  • Supporting the creation of global and local board and management reports to a high quality and in a timely manner that support appropriate compliance insights and management actions
  • Responding to ad hoc reporting requests, including compliance information requests, governance requests, and compliance data
  • Working with the Enterprise Risk Management Team, key Business Unit representatives, and the broader Compliance teams to create strong working relationships to gain submissions for regular reporting
  • Coordinating the creation of key management information and reports on an ad-hoc basis across the compliance teams
  • Assisting and coordinating the timely completion of internal global and local management information reporting requests
Requirements

Experience in a banking environment, specifically with experience in risk or compliance governance and reporting

Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management

Demonstrated experience in time management and planning

Working knowledge of risk and compliance governance, compliance management frameworks, programs, and policies

Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale banking - favourable

Exposure across different risk disciplines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to translate complex issues into simple explanations
