Compliance Expertise: A Strategic Role

  • This position plays a pivotal role in developing and managing Compliance Strategy and Plan, ensuring alignment with the Group Compliance Program.
  • The Compliance Specialist will work closely with colleagues to promote and drive a strong Compliance and Integrity culture throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monitoring of regulatory developments to ensure all regulatory requirements are known, adhered to, and associated risks are mitigated.
  • Provide enabling support and advisory in managing Compliance risks and supporting stakeholders in implementing Compliance related procedures.
  • Participate in Governance and Risk committee meetings to ensure effective governance and control frameworks are in place.

About the Role

  • The Compliance Specialist will conduct Compliance Risk Assessments, develop tailored Compliance training, awareness, and communications.
  • Evaluate alignment between Group Compliance Policies and Standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver regular Compliance reporting to senior management and committees internally and regulatory authorities externally as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management programs, and excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Compliance, risk management, audit, or related areas for insurance or financial institutions.
