Overview


The Facility Director oversees the development and implementation of strategic objectives for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology services in their facility. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology.


Responsibilities include:


  • Developing and implementing strategic objectives for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology services
  • Providing expert guidance and supervision to staff
  • Orienting new therapists to procedures and promoting knowledge sharing to improve patient care
  • Reviewing coverage for staff vacation, emergencies, and extra busy patient load
  • Interacting with physicians, clinical staff, and other private practitioners to enhance practice efficiency and develop new clinical programs
  • Reviewing equipment needs and helping to develop budget for acquisition of needed equipment
  • Flexibility in work hours to accommodate patient load fluctuations

The Facility Director will also participate in community events and speaking engagements to promote physical therapy and the network of outpatient facilities.


Key qualifications for this role include:


  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including sitting for up to ninety minutes at a time, standing for thirty to forty-five minutes consecutively, and lifting/moving patients up to 200 lbs.
