Job Description

As a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional, you will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide comprehensive care to patients. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly with colleagues and providing excellent patient care.

You will take vital signs, discuss symptoms, document health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information to help patients manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of various illnesses and injuries and a caring approach to patient care.

The chosen candidate will provide quality care to a diverse patient mix, including immunisations and injections, triage, wound management, chronic disease management, ECGs, explain procedures to patients, providing support and reassurance, assist with care plans and shared health summaries, assist with telehealth consultations, and daily coordination of the treatment room.

Responsibilities include stock control, sterilization, and general maintenance of medical instruments and equipment. Infection control practices are also essential for this role. Additionally, you will assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in an accredited General Practice environment
  • Caring and collaborative approach to patient care
  • Proven multi-tasking, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Experience with Best Practice programs (desired)
Additional Requirements

In addition to the qualifications listed above, you must also possess:

  • Current Police Check
  • Current Working with Children clearance
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Immunisation Record
  • Driving licence or photo ID
