Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking Patient Care Specialists to join our ICU team at a leading private hospital.
In this role, you will provide supportive care to patients and their families within the unit. Your main responsibility will be to assist the clinical team, in the provision of services and care for patients including patient transfers, manual handling activities, stock organisation, cleaning and general duties.
You will report to the Nurse Unit Manager and work with a diverse team driven to exceed high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive care to patients and their families within the unit
- Assist the clinical team in the provision of services and care for patients
- Perform patient transfers, manual handling activities, stock organisation, cleaning and general duties
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills both written & verbal
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Be customer-focused and demonstrate a willingness to learn
- Understanding importance of infection control and manual handling guidelines
- Basic Life Support Training
