As a Senior Manager, Institutional Capital, you will be part of the New Business team, playing a crucial role in the growth of the Dexus real estate and infrastructure funds management businesses.

Your key responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors, developing a deep understanding of their strategic goals and investment objectives, and identifying sales opportunities. You will also lead the domestic institutional investor engagement strategy and be the key point of contact into the Dexus platform covering Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, understanding their strategic goals and investment objectives.
  • Lead the domestic institutional investor engagement strategy and be the key point of contact into the Dexus platform.
  • Initiate and follow up on business opportunities, including new product and strategies.
  • Pitch to existing and potential investors on existing product suites or new ideas/opportunities to collaborate.
  • Raise awareness of the Dexus platform and products domestically.
  • Lead institutional capital raising in Australia and New Zealand for new joint venture opportunities and new product initiatives.
  • Direct negotiations with capital partners on commercial terms of new joint ventures established.
  • Contribute to the New Business team and work collaboratively with the Investor Relations Team.

About You

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within funds management, strategy/banking/corporate development, or distribution.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the real-estate and/or infrastructure funds management sector, with the ability to discuss key economic and market trends in the context of Dexus products and opportunities.
  • Existing industry and investor contacts within the real estate and infrastructure sectors, both domestically and globally.
  • Experience in institutional investment, including a client-focused approach to investment solutions and recommendations.
  • Proven track record of delivering a range of projects from conception to completion, achieving project goals.
  • Breadth of property and infrastructure knowledge and strong business acumen, financial analysis, and feasibility development skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and customer retention skills.
  • Leadership and ability to develop a high-functioning team.
