Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Institutional Capital to join our New Business team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the growth and diversification of our institutional investor base, with responsibility spanning management of institutional investor relationships in Australia and New Zealand, capital raising for new products, and working in collaboration with our investor relations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Maintain Relationships

Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, understanding their strategic goals and investment objectives to identify sales opportunities.

Lead Institutional Investor Engagement

Lead the domestic institutional investor engagement strategy and be the key point of contact into the Dexus platform covering Australia and New Zealand.

Initiate and Follow-up on Business Opportunities

Initiate and follow up on business opportunities, including new product and strategies.

Pitch to Investors

Pitch to existing and potential investors on our existing product suite or new ideas/opportunities to collaborate.

Raise Awareness of Dexus

Raise awareness of the Dexus platform and products domestically.

Lead Institutional Capital Raising

Lead institutional capital raising in Australia and New Zealand for new joint venture opportunities and new product initiatives, including involvement in marketing collateral, investor pitches, commercial term negotiation, and conversion.

Direct Negotiations

Direct negotiations with capital partners on commercial terms of new joint ventures established.

Collaborate with New Business Team

Work collaboratively with the broader New Business team, including the Investor Relations Team.

About You

  • Experience

Minimum of 10 years' experience within funds management, strategy/banking/corporate development, or distribution.

Communication Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Industry Knowledge

Familiarity with the real-estate and/or infrastructure funds management sector, with an ability to discuss key economic and market trends in the context of Dexus products and opportunities.

Industry Contacts

Existing industry and investor contacts within the real estate and infrastructure sectors, both domestically and globally.

Investment Experience

Experience in institutional investment, including a client-focused approach to investment solutions and recommendations.

Project Delivery

Proven track record of delivering a range of projects from conception to completion, achieving project goals.

Business Acumen

Breadth of property and infrastructure knowledge and strong business acumen, financial analysis, and feasibility development skills.

Communication Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Negotiation Skills

Comprehensive negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and customer retention skills.

Leadership

Leadership and ability to develop a high-functioning team.
