Structural Engineering Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newcastle.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for designing, analysing and assessing structures across various projects in the buildings and infrastructure space.

As a Structural Engineer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and manage designs, liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to meet project goals, and use design software to create structural works plans.

You will also be responsible for conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with regulation requirements, preparing project reports, technical documents and proposals, and mentoring engineering graduates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and analyse structures for various projects
  2. Develop and manage designs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  3. Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to meet project goals
  4. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with regulation requirements
  5. Prepare project reports, technical documents and proposals
  6. Mentor engineering graduates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Structural design
  • Proficiency in SPACE GASS, Strand7, ETABS and/or RAPT
  • Strong understanding of contemporary design standards such as AS1170, AS4100, AS3600, AS3700, AS1720
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
