About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our Melbourne-based team. As a key member of our business growth team, you will play a crucial role in attracting new tenants, expanding referral pathways, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and work on the current and ongoing vacancy database to identify solutions and opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with our current tenants to ensure their satisfaction with their living arrangements and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the NDIS, with a focus on the SDA space, including build types, categories, modification requirements, and locations of homes in demand.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and referrers to develop a strong pipeline of potential tenants for current vacancies and future builds.
  • Be involved in the transition process once a tenant has been secured and work closely with our SIL providers to assist them in progressing along their SDA journey.
Requirements
  • Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Backgrounds in Business, Property, or Disability sector/Allied Health would be highly regarded.
  • A proven strong sales background generating new leads and managing/account management of existing clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills - turning an unhappy customer into a lifetime customer.
  • Excellent computer and administration skills.
  • Personable, empathetic, and a genuine desire to help people who may be marginalized, vulnerable, or disadvantaged.
  • Ideally, but not essential, an in-depth understanding of NDIS, with particular reference to Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
