Pastoral Care Specialist
Job Summary:This role focuses on delivering high-quality pastoral care services to individuals within our community. The successful candidate will utilize their skills and knowledge to foster meaningful relationships, promote spiritual growth, and provide emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the pastoral care team by working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective relationship management strategies to ensure excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
- Maintain a high level of professional development through ongoing training, education, and personal growth initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting of pastoral care activities.
- Qualifications:
- A minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent.
- Relevant pastoral or theological study.
- Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a large, complex organization.
- Understanding of pastoral and spiritual needs across diverse populations.
- Excellent empathy and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to distinguish between religion and spirituality.
- Familiarity with various faiths, including Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, and Sikhism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as basic computer literacy.
- Passion for social change and commitment to contributing to an organization that advocates for disadvantaged groups.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- A graduate degree in a relevant field.
