Avoidable Injury Prevention Specialist

Job Summary:

This role involves coordinating injury prevention strategies and providing timely support to employees who have experienced work-related injuries. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective return-to-work programs and manage workers' compensation claims efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement proactive injury prevention initiatives across the organization.
  • Provide early intervention and support to injured employees, ensuring they receive necessary medical treatment and information regarding workers' compensation claim entitlements.
  • Communicate regularly with employees, managers, insurers, healthcare providers, and other relevant parties to facilitate successful return-to-work outcomes.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims from initiation to closure, including submission of claim documentation and payment of benefits to eligible employees.
  • Participate in regular claim reviews and health and safety programs to reduce workplace injuries and improve overall business performance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in workers' compensation management and injury prevention strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation legislation and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines.
