Your New Role

The Portfolio Analyst - Resourcing & Reporting will support the delivery of the portfolio while improving the quality and timeliness of projects. This role requires managing and forecasting resource planning across the Delivery Portfolio within the Strategic Delivery Office (SDO) and assisting in monthly portfolio reporting for the Strategic Delivery Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a view of Project Management, Business Analyst, Change Management, and SME demand for the planned portfolio.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Directors, Senior Manager Business Analysis, and Senior Manager Enterprise Change to refine project needs and ensure capability and capacity availability.
  • Liaise with technology teams to support resource planning activities and resource partnerships.
  • Liaise with business areas to flag upcoming SME demand and potential efficiencies/gaps in availability.
  • Liaise with all other people leaders in the SDO to ensure effective resourcing across the Portfolio.
  • Maintain an overall view of resource utilisation and propose solutions to maintain costs or support delivery.
  • Provide evidence to support teams to onboard required resources and assist with recruitment processes.
  • Coordinate supplementing permanent resources with sourcing from agreed partners.
  • Consistently look for improvements to resource planning and resourcing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with finance and technology teams to support end-of-month project reporting.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with analytical software tools (Excel and Power BI).
  • Developed oral and written communication skills with report writing experience.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project finance and analytical skills.
  • Experience in project resource planning or similar workforce planning/demand planning.
