Portfolio Manager Role

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of work, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

  1. Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans, utilizing Agile methodologies and enterprise resource planning systems.
  2. Schedule Management: Oversee IT project schedules, ensuring scope management in line with project plans and approved designs.
  3. Risk and Issue Management: Manage portfolio risks, issues, dependencies, changes, and quality.
  4. Financial Management: Oversee financial tracking and reporting for portfolios and projects.
  5. Process Improvement: Maintain portfolio artifacts following Bureau standards, contributing to governance and process improvements.
  6. Resource Allocation: Coordinate program resources to deliver work packages and products.
  7. Service Delivery: Coordinate service delivery for design, build, testing, transition to operations, and technology change management.
  8. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as main point of contact.
  9. Procurement: Oversee procurement of hardware, software, and IT services.
  10. Compliance: Comply with health and safety policies and demonstrate commitment to APS Values and Code of Conduct.

A successful Portfolio Manager at this role will have strong organizational and leadership skills, be able to prioritize tasks effectively, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. They will also have experience working with Agile methodologies, IT project management tools, and enterprise resource planning systems.
