Operations Coordinator - Rail Opportunity

Aurizon is seeking a skilled Operations Coordinator to join our team in Melbourne. As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rail network.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make a real difference in the day-to-day operations of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily movements of rolling stock and ensure all operations are executed on time.
  • Manage daily operations changes to meet all train service and operational activity timeframes.
  • Develop, implement, and manage processes, systems, and procedures for supply chain performance and attainment of the daily schedule.
  • Promote high-performance expectations within a supportive team environment and encourage continuous improvement activities.
  • E nsure that all business activities comply with relevant legislation and company procedures.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated skills within short-term scheduling or similar positions.
  • Substantial level of analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous frontline leadership experience in rail yard operations or heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of computers and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
