Unlock new opportunities in a dynamic environment at V/Line.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our team as an Occupation Coordinator. As part of this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our rail network by coordinating administrative tasks and managing data-heavy processes.
You will be responsible for planning and executing rail occupations, which involve the planned closure of a section of the rail network to allow for maintenance, upgrades, or other essential works. This requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with various stakeholders.
In this role, you will work closely with internal and external teams to coordinate planning and interface meetings, negotiate access and integration, and ensure document compliance. You will also develop plans for return to service, allocate and manage resources, evaluate quotes, and provide purchase orders.
As an Occupation Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions and improve existing processes. You will also have the chance to work on complex and high-volume business administration tasks, using your Excel expertise to track data and occupation events.
This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about working in transport operations and enjoy coordinating meetings and presenting information clearly, this role may be perfect for you.
Please note that this position requires occasional night & weekend shifts, and you must be available to attend work sites prior to, and during, the occupation.
