Rail Operations Specialist

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

About the Role

Aurizon is seeking experienced Rail Operations Specialists to join our team at our Vic Dock depot in Melbourne. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate locomotives on mainline, shunting, and marshalling duties
  • Certify trains as ready for departure, adhering to safety and operational standards
  • Maintain a high level of on-time running and prepare locomotives for service
  • Provide excellent customer service to support Aurizon's business objectives
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving
  • A Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent qualification
  • A current unrestricted driver's licence
  • Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon's safety strategy
