About the RoleAurizon is seeking experienced Rail Operations Specialists to join our team at our Vic Dock depot in Melbourne. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight trains.
Key Responsibilities- Operate locomotives on mainline, shunting, and marshalling duties
- Certify trains as ready for departure, adhering to safety and operational standards
- Maintain a high level of on-time running and prepare locomotives for service
- Provide excellent customer service to support Aurizon's business objectives
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving
- A Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent qualification
- A current unrestricted driver's licence
- Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon's safety strategy
