About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Rail Network Operations Coordinator. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in managing administrative tasks, tracking data, and ensuring that our rail network runs smoothly.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate planning and interface meetings, negotiate access and integration, and develop plans for return to service.

In this role, you will also be responsible for allocating and managing resources, evaluating quotes, providing purchase orders, and seeking invoices.

Your keen organisational skills and attention to detail will ensure safety and efficiency, while your Excel expertise will enable you to track data and occupation events.

As a Rail Network Operations Coordinator, you will enjoy coordinating meetings and presenting information clearly, and thrive in a structured environment.

Please note that occasional night and weekend shifts may be required, and you must be available to attend work sites prior to and during occupations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate internal and external work groups, facilitate planning and interface meetings, and negotiate access and integration with various work groups.
  • Ensure document compliance, carry out risk assessments, and develop plans for return to service.
  • Allocate and manage resources.
  • Evaluate quotes, provide purchase orders, and seek invoices.
  • Identify arising issues, mitigate risks, solve problems, and track lessons learned from each closure.

About You

We are looking for individuals with experience in transport operations, Safeworking, maintenance, scheduling, planning, or work readiness, who possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently and decisively.

If you have strong business administration skills and a valid Victoria Driver Licence, we encourage you to apply for this challenging and rewarding role.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a role responsible for complex and/or high-volume business administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Teams, and Planner.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presenting.
  • Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Efficient time management skills, including the ability to prioritise work to meet business objectives.
  • Valid Victoria Driver Licence.

What We Offer

At V/Line, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $78,103 to $93,467 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide 4 weeks' annual leave, 17.5% leave loading, superannuation, and free myki travel.
