About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists to lead a dynamic perioperative department at a private healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 11 state-of-the-art operating theatres, undertaking various surgical specialties including Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics and Spinal, General and upper GI surgeries, Colorectal and endoscopy, plastics and reconstructive surgery, Maxillo-facial and ENT, Cardiothoracic, and hepatic-biliary - all-inclusive of Robotics surgeries.
  • Work closely with the Executive Team to shape organisational strategy, enhance procedural service provision and achieve departmental and hospital strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Extensive current clinical practice in perioperative role (minimum 5 years).
  • Recent theatre management experience.
  • Graduate Certification/Diploma in Perioperative Nursing.
  • Ability to build rapport with VMOs and staff.
  • Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes.
  • OHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and experience in implementing sustainable change.
  • Graduate Certification/Diploma in Perioperative Nursing (desirable).
  • Masters in Business Management/ Health Administration (desirable).
