Perioperative Services Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Nursing Professional to join our team as a Perioperative Services Director.
About the RoleThe Perioperative Services Director is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Perioperative Services Team. This team is a multidisciplinary group consisting of Senior Nurses and administrative staff who are accountable for delivering patient care from referral through to elective surgery preparation, scheduling, and post-operative recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce duplication in Perioperative Services across multiple sites.
- Ensure timely patient preparation for surgery, prioritizing patient-centered care and adherence to departmental standards.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to the management of elective surgery waiting lists.
- Provide senior clinical leadership and mentorship to the Perioperative Services Team, promoting excellence in patient care and service delivery.
- Pursue opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the preoperative phase and theatre schedule.
- Design and implement effective management systems for elective surgery waiting lists, aligning with organizational priorities.
