Data Governance Professional

We are seeking an experienced data governance professional to support a large-scale data uplift program within a public sector organization.
The focus will be on strengthening data governance frameworks, supporting the rollout of metadata tools, and improving data quality and compliance.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement to gather and document business and data requirements.
- Perform comprehensive data assessments, including profiling, lineage analysis, and issue resolution.
- Validate data integrity throughout migration activities.
- Identify process gaps and recommend governance or training solutions.
- Assist in implementing data governance tools and interpreting profiling results.
- Monitor and improve data quality, including missing or inconsistent values.
- 5+ years of experience in data/information management.
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Purview and Alation.
- SQL or other data querying experience highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
- Competitive daily rate.
