Job Title: Enterprise Data Governance Professional

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Governance Professional to support a large-scale data uplift program within a public sector utility. The focus will be on strengthening data governance frameworks, supporting the rollout of metadata tools, and improving data quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and data requirements through engagement.
  • Perform comprehensive data assessments including profiling, lineage analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Validate data integrity throughout migration activities.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend effective governance or training solutions.
  • Assist in implementing data governance tools and interpreting profiling results.
  • Monitor and improve data quality, including missing or inconsistent values.

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data/information management is required.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data quality, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, SOCI, Public Records Act).
  • Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Purview and Alation is highly desirable.
  • SQL or other data querying experience is a significant advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills are essential.
