Key Data Governance Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled data governance professional to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our data.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Data Governance Framework, including associated policies, standards, and processes. This will involve maintaining and evolving key governance assets such as the Business Glossary, Data Catalogue, and Data Dictionary.

You will also coordinate and lead data quality initiatives; identify, escalate, and help resolve data quality issues across operational teams. Furthermore, you will collaborate with technical teams to ensure governance is embedded in data products, pipelines, and platforms.

In addition, you will promote awareness and adoption of data governance practices across the business.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview is essential.
  • Previous experience in data governance, data management, or data analytics roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and practices, including data classification, metadata management, data quality, and sensitive data labelling.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
  • Solid understanding of data platforms such as Databricks, and integration with BI/reporting tools.
  • Confident in profiling data and identifying root causes of data issues.
