Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients.
  • Offer respite care to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other care team members.
  • Ensure client safety and well-being by following health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in disability support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
