Family Support Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Support Specialist to deliver community-based programs for families in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for children and families attending support sessions.
  • Promote early childhood social development and build community connections through outreach support services.
  • Coordinate engaging activities aligned with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Engage diverse individuals and families with cultural competence and sensitivity.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve program outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience supporting both children and adults in community settings.
  • Skilled in planning and delivering group-based programs or activities.
  • Culturally competent with ability to engage diverse individuals and families.
  • Valid driver's licence and police clearance.
  • National Disability Clearance Check and Working with Children Check.
