Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our team.

  • About the Role
  • This position is responsible for providing assertive and intensive family-focused intervention and short-term care coordination, including comprehensive assessment, collaborative goal setting, and care planning for children, young people, and their families who are experiencing acute and complex mental health problems.
  • The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the CYMHS OSCA team to develop and support best clinical practices associated with assertive outreach services and optimal outcomes for young people and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality clinical interventions and support to children, young people, and their families in various settings, including home-based and community-based environments.
  • To assess, formulate, and treat child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems using evidence-based practices.
  • To work systemically with young children and adolescents with mental health problems, their families, and their system of care and support, including individual and family intervention.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognised degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy, with registration with AHPRA or membership to AASW.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation, and treatment of child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and skills in working systemically with young children and adolescents with mental health problems, their families, and their system of care and support, including individual and family intervention.
