Senior Clinician for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

About the Role

  • This role requires an experienced clinician to lead a multidisciplinary team in providing expert care to children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues and developmental disability-related health concerns.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering direct clinical services to individual clients or groups of clients, as well as offering consultation and support to other teams and staff.
  • They will also provide clinical leadership to staff and assume a professional leadership role within the team.
  • In addition, the Senior Clinician will contribute to quality and safety improvements in services across CAMHS and within specific service areas.

Requirements

  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in developmental disability and child and adolescent mental health work.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to coordinate workflow and the work of others.
  • Highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
  • Ability to apply specialist skills in resolving complex clinical problems.
  • Effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams, across teams, and with a range of agencies.
  • Excellent liaison and presentation skills.
