
Research Growth Strategist

Job Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Research Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the development of new strategies and initiatives for growing research, raising commercial research income, and managing commercially focused activities.
This key position will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify future trends in commercial research needs of industry and government organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of effective networks with government, industry, non-government organisations, technology developers, and providers to establish successful and long-term commercial research partnerships.
- Support multi-disciplinary teams of researchers, enabling functions and external partners to identify, develop and implement initiatives for growing research and industry-based projects.
- Participate in the enhancement of capacity building of researchers and research teams to effectively engage with industry and government and plan for the commercialisation of their research outcomes.
- Contribute to the preparation, negotiation and execution of commercial research agreements within the context of the research activities and appropriate due diligence of research clients.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in one or more of the research and development verticals: The Arts, Security, Emerging and Enabling Technologies, Education, Social Science and Law.
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and representing internal and external partners and customers across industry, government and university sectors.
