About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Square (Block) as a Partnerships Manager, where you will play a key role in developing and deploying our Australian strategy. As a member of our Partnerships team, you will represent Square's brand in Australia and be responsible for identifying new partnership opportunities, contract negotiation, Go-To-Market planning and execution, and building and growing deep relationships with external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Source, sign, and manage partners end-to-end to drive Square's growth in Australia
  • Take responsibility for our relationships with a broad set of partners, including large strategic opportunities with major organisations and scaling our partner program for independent software and service providers, consultants, and advisors
  • Be measured against a set of KPIs, including growth of the partner ecosystem, the number and value of new customers acquired via your partners, and adoption of your partners' solution by customers
  • Understand Square's company strategy inside and out and communicate the value of Square's brand and product ecosystem
  • Build deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders to grow Square's relationships with strategic partners
  • Manage all aspects of the relationship with your partners, from initial scoping and negotiation to prioritisation and execution of strategic projects, financial assessment and forecasting, and ongoing partner management
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in strategic partnerships development, product management, and/or partnerships experience, with experience in signing new partners
  • Experience evaluating opportunities with regard to impact on strategy, brand, finance, and operations
  • A compelling and inspired vision and sense of common purpose, with a willingness to look beyond what's possible today
  • Built successful relationships with external parties, worked with executives and senior leadership to explore new opportunities, managed projects with multiple stakeholders, set clear milestones, and held people (and self) accountable to goals
  • A successful track record of managing complex deals and cross-functional projects, experience building and managing relationships with senior business leaders, both internally and externally, and experience working cross-functionally with a range of teams, managing initiatives at scale, and delivering on results
