Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Corporate M&A Specialist to join our team as a Knowledge Lawyer. This is a parental leave cover contract for approximately 12-18 months.

About the Role

You will be responsible for knowledge management of our practice, equipping the team with expertise, tools, and confidence to provide outstanding legal services to our clients.

  • Providing expert corporate law and transactional advice to our team.
  • Drafting, developing, and maintaining a repository of corporate legal precedents.
  • Ensuring accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of these resources by capturing knowledge and insights from ongoing legal work, client interactions, and industry developments.

This role would suit a senior corporate M&A lawyer seeking a change of pace from transactional practice without billable hours pressure.

The role is offered on a part-time 3 day per week basis with high flexibility available.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years PQE with strong background in transactional corporate law experience gained at a reputable commercial law firm.
  • Exceptional written skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate and undertake precedent development and drafting research activities and draft appropriate summaries or commentaries.
  • Excellent communication skills ability and tact to manage expectations and deal effectively with competing interests.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions for practitioners at different levels including formal presentations workshops and one-on-one training.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 - $200,000 AUD per annum based on experience.
